The cottage is warm and cosy, with a woodburner in the sitting area of the open plan living room, along with a separate shower room, and a comfy double bedroom. Guests at the cottage also enjoy shared use of an outdoor swimming pool, and a private garden area, ideal for a relaxing evening drink. There is so much to do in this lovely region. The amenities in the village include shops, a pub and a Post Office, while the Suffolk and Essex coastlines, and many National Trust properties, historic houses and miles of beautiful countryside are all on the doorstep.

Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner inc. in rent, additional fuel available to purchase from owner. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Private patio garden with furniture. Use of owner?s unheated outdoor swimming pool by prior arrangement. Sorry, no pets, no smoking and no infants under 2. Shop and pub 2 mins walk. |

We had a fabulous time at the 'shack', as we affectionately nicknamed it, especially the walk in shower, wood burner and easy internet access! The little touches of home made honey, fresh bread and butter, milk and bacon on arrival was a real treat! A fantastic time had by all the family!

This beautiful county is situated to the south of Norfolk, with Cambridgeshire to the west, Essex to the south, and the North Sea to the east. It has much to offer the visitor, including the wetlands of the Broads, the Wool Towns, and a coastal strip to the east known as “The Sandlings”. There are over 5000km of marked paths as well as national cycle routes, along with country parks, nature reserves such as the Trimley Marshes, and picnic sites.
Suffolk’s notable towns include Ipswich (the county town), Felixstowe, Lowestoft, Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket.
West Suffolk is famed for its archaeological discoveries, especially that at Sutton Hoo in 1939. A grassy mound was found to be a ship burial ground containing a collection of Anglo-Saxon treasures, including a Sword of State, a shield, a helmet, gold and silver bowls, jewellery and a lyre. The site is now owned by the National Trust.
